As someone who has been traveling non-stop for years, I realized that the longer I explore this world, the more I appreciate offbeat destinations and hidden gems. That’s why I’ve decided to create this post highlighting the most underrated countries to visit in 2023.
These countries may not be on everyone’s travel bucket list, but they offer incredible experiences, unique cultures, stunning landscapes, and lots of opportunities to explore. Wow, I’m sad to say that all of these are still on my list of places to visit from Europe to Latin America and Asia. I definitely agree that many are still underrated places to visit around the world.
We are always looking for new spots to visit that are not overrun by tourists so this list was perfect. A few like Ecuador and Belize were on our list but have not made it high enough yet. And some like Oman and Montenegro deserve far more time than our first visits.

The beauty of planet earth is stressing me out 😉 Actually, there are some destinations on your list that have been on mine for some time, too. For instance, I wanted to go to the Senegal forever, then, for a couple of years now, Georgia is getting really popular among German travellers. I’m not so sure about Honduras, though.
